Incorporated in 1969, Ancom Crop Care Sdn Bhd (ACC) is the pioneer of crop protection in Malaysia. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Ancom Berhad, it is a leading agricultural and industrial chemical manufacturer with an extensive international presence.
ACC helps to advance the industry with its exports to over 30 countries where the top 5 markets are Brazil, USA, South Africa, Thailand and the Philippines. Some of its key customers include Sipcam Nichino, Koppers, Nufarm, IOI Group, FGV, UPL, Lonza, Drexel, Sime Darby, Leads Agri, Sahai Kaset, Salim Agro and many more.
Furthermore, it is the only agro-chemical synthesiser in South EastAsia and operates two plants in Shah Alam and Port Klang. The company’s domestic and export business focuses on manufacturing, marketing and trading of agricultural chemicals and pesticides while its wholly-owned subsidiary Timber Preservatives Sdn Bhd handles the manufacturing and marketing of intermediate/industrial acid for wood preservatives and the glass industry.
ACC’s activities can be divided into three categories. Firstly, the advanced synthesising of chemicals such as pre- and post-emergence herbicides, industrial acid/intermediate for wood preservatives. Secondly, the formulation of generic and proprietary agricultural chemical compounds like Glyphosate, Diuron, Ancosar, premixes of Monex and Dasaflo, Glufosinate Ammonium, 2,4-D, Bromacil, Chlorothalonil, Brodifacoum (rat bait), and DMPP. And thirdly, the trading of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides and fertiliser.
Main Chemical Products
ACC’s advanced key products are Diuron, of which ACC is one of the top producers worldwide and Industrial Acid, which is used for the production of CCA, a speciality wood preservative. Glyphosate and Dasaflo are the other key products for the domestic and regional markets.
Another advanced product of theirs which is set to make an impact is Monex, also a herbicide, used in the Malaysian oil palm sector as a replacement for Paraquat. ACC has already made plans to penetrate the regional oil palm growing markets with this product while an upcoming product is Bromacil, a specialised herbicide that will target various overseas markets.

ACC has achieved record revenues for some years, derived mainly from export sales and 2019 is forecasted to be the same. The strong growth is attributed to the following:
