CONFI-N SURF is a one-of-a-kind solution to remove oil-based mud/synthetic-based mud (OBM/SBM) filter cake and barium sulphate scale left on wellbore side while drilling.
It is available in both alkaline and acidic base to give clients the option to tailor the formulation according to the downhole operation requirement.
Test performances of OBM DIF cake removal show that 94% retained permeability has been achieved using CONFI-N SURF, a custom-made technology that can be fine-tuned for each particular application.
Unrivalled Stimulation Fluid
CONFI-N SURF consists of a surfactant and chelating agent or weak acid. It also contains some other additives capable of reversing filter cake wet-ability from oil-wet to water-wet as well as dissolving both CaCO3 and barite contained in the filter cake.
The stimulation fluid has high thermal stability and low corrosion potential and is environment-friendly.
CONFI-N SURF also delivers all the advantages of conventional stimulation technologies without the shortcomings normally associated with conventional stimulation products.
As a standalone fluid breaker, CONFI-N SURF dramatically improves the permeability in both carbonate and sandstone reservoirs by dissolving calcium carbonate and controlling iron at the same time.
Custom-Made Technology
CONFI-N SURF is a highly concentrated blend of surfactants and powerful water-wetting agents designed to effectively remove OBM filter cake. It removes residues from the formation and remediates any oil residual blockage, thus reducing formation damage.

Wellbore damage removal and nanochemistry are integral parts of CONFI-N SURF. Nanoemulsions are clear, stable, isotropic liquid mixtures of water and surfactant, frequently in combination with a co-surfactant.
In contrast to ordinary emulsions, nanoemulsions form upon special kinetic equipment mixing of the components and do not require the high-shear conditions generally used in the formation of ordinary emulsions.
CONFI-N SURF has been extensively tested with impressive results. The technology can be used in conjunction with other Scomi chemistry to address multiple situations.
