Freight shipment is a growing industry due to increased trade among countries. And as cross-border e-commerce and online transactions become increasingly mainstream, the volume of cargo has experienced an exponential growth not seen since the start of the industrialisation era in Malaysia.
As far back as 1981, Malaysia Airlines, through its subsidiary MASkargo Logistics Sdn Bhd (MLSB) (previously known as Pengangkutan Kargo Udara MAS Sdn Bhd) has been providing essential logistics services throughout the country from its headquarters at KL International Airport in Subang.
Since then, MLSB has come a long way as the first national logistics service provider in Malaysia. Now as a wholly-owned subsidiary of MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd, it has widened its offerings to include the facilitation of cargo transhipment for major airlines, freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL) warehousing and terminal handling. Its services extend to all the major airports within Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak.

MH Truck
Operating since 1983, its fleet of specially designed GPS-equipped trucks have a load capacity of 18 tones, which are able to ferry a load comprising three units of Q7 PMC Pallets and two full loads of containers or normal palletised cargo. The trucks are also available for ad-hoc charter and services beyond Malaysia to Thailand and Singapore.
Forwarding
As a licensed forwarding agent, MLSB is able to offer all forwarding activities involving import and export, documentation, custom brokerage and door-to-door delivery to the Middle East, USA and Europe, through its affiliation with logistics partners worldwide.
I-Port
I-Port was established for seamless cargo interchange multi-mode (sea and air) of transportation operated by MLSB at Port Klang and Port of Tanjung Pelepas.
Multimodal Transport Operator (MTO)
MLSB has been appointed as the Multimodal Transport Operator (MTO) by the Ministry of Finance since 2007 to facilitate all government agencies shipments that cover both import and export.
E-Forwarding
MLSB also caters for walk-in customers that do not have an appointed agent. Services provided include customs declaration, EDI, barcode labelling, packing, etc.
Warehousing
MLSB has a secured warehousing area of 40,000sq ft located within the KLIA free commercial zone and 10,000 sq ft in Penang.
