One of the breakthrough products include the SKB Pathwinder Laterally Sliding Fire Shutters with up to 4 hours for fire compartment design. It has great flexibility in having large openings without intermediate columns in between and no bottom guide is needed. It has the advantage of being able to follow any contoured path of 600mm radius over large distances. A pathwinder has a considerable span of maximum 80 meters.
Besides that, SKB Horizontal Escalator Fire Shutter compartmentalizes through a floor opening to prevent the spread of fire between floor levels in a building. It is ideally suited to provide fire compartmentation between floors of a shop or store where escalators, travelators or stairwells entail a floor aperture.
