Digital Transformation
Over the years, UEM Edgenta has been ramping up its efforts to digitalise its infrastructure services segment to reduce costs without compromising on service delivery quality. A total of RM48 million in capital expenditure has been spent for this purpose from 2016 to 2018.
These digitalisation efforts include the Road Asset Management System (RAMS) that rolled out in 2018. It is currently being used to monitor all UEM Edgenta managed highways and roads in Malaysia totalling nearly 3,100km – on a real-time basis.
RAMS takes in information on the entire length and assets of an expressway and has the functionality to integrate with other systems. This platform, coupled with the additional connectivity and availability to integrate seamlessly with other systems, makes RAMS the ideal infrastructure and road asset monitoring system.
