Medidata Sdn Bhd was founded 43 years ago as a tendering agent for various pharmaceutical healthcare products. In 1984, as a result of the Information Technology revolution, Medidata diversified its operations by adding on IT solutions to its business portfolio.
At the turn of the millennium, the company ventured into manufacturing activities by setting up a production plant to produce high quality medical disposable products.
Setting Sights on Bigger Things
Today, Medidata has evolved into a more significant entity with global aspirations by further expanding its business activities of manufacturing high quality medical disposable products, distributing pharmaceutical products, and providing IT solutions.
Medidata supplies medical disposable products to hospitals nationwide in Malaysia as well as exporting to countries such as Japan and Singapore. Also in the pipeline are efforts to penetrate global markets such as Korea, Indonesia, Australia, Saudi Arabia and many more since its product registrations in these countries are almost complete.
Solid Processes in Place
On the manufacturing front, all Medidata’s medical disposable products are produced in line with processes that comply with international standards.
Also, all of the medical disposable products have been successfully registered with the Malaysian Medical Device Authority (MDA). The company also has the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standard for its manufacturing activities as well as for the pharmaceutical business. Some of Medidata products include:
